This is our U3A Moreland update as Term 2 comes to a close this week. As we have mentioned in our previous monthly communications to Members – we hope that you are well given the continuing health concerns with COVID-19. However with some restrictions lifting you may have begun to resume some of life’s previous activities.
Term 3 Planning
As Term 3 approaches, we would like to be resuming all our activities, but with the health risk continuing in Victoria, the Committee of Management decided at a meeting last week that in the best interests of Members, face to face / indoor Programs will not re-start at the beginning Term 3 (13th July). However this decision will be reviewed at the next Committee Meeting on 20th July.
As other updates have indicated, some outdoor Programs have recommenced and will continue under certain conditions. The Term 3 Program will contain a few more outdoor Programs. You will receive this information from the Program Team before Term 3 commences
At the same time we will continue with the Programs on Zoom and consider some additional Program. We also encourage Members to participate in Zoom Programs. The Zoom Support Group is still available to provide one on one help.
We congratulate and thank the U3A Moreland Program Team, the Facilitators and the Zoom Support Team for their innovation at such short notice in getting some activities and interactions happening in Term2. Thank you also to the Members who have participated.
We will keep in touch regularly and be assured we will offer Programs when we can in a safe and comfortable way.
