Volunteering

All areas of U3A Moreland are managed, organised and delivered by our member volunteers

Become a Facilitator

U3A Moreland welcomes new program ideas and is constantly seeking members to volunteer for facilitating our group activities. Facilitators are the mainstay of our organisation, covering the wide range of topics, interests and activities featured in our Program Guide to attract retired people to join U3A. We invite you to come forward and share your interests and experiences. Maybe ask a friend or colleague to join with you in offering a program, a single session or a program of any length. Support, equipment, venue location and promotion of the activities are provided by our Program Team

Other Volunteering Opportunities

Many members volunteer to help behind the scenes. We constantly encourage and need our members to contribute their valuable life experience, skills and time to assist in the many areas and functions involved in running U3A Moreland. Some of the volunteering roles are ongoing, involving varying time commitments each week, while others are occasional, perhaps assisting with one or two more infrequent tasks and events.

These are some of the areas where you can make a contribution:

  • Committee of Management
  • UMAS – management of our U3A Membership Administration System
  • Membership administration
  • Website development and IT support
  • Marketing and promotion of U3A Moreland
  • Program management
  • Venue bookings
  • Finance administration and seeking grants and funding
  • Newsletter compilation
  • Running social activities
  • Catering for various events

We acknowledge the efforts of all our volunteers who help make such a difference to so many people’s enjoyment, ongoing learning and fun at U3A.
